One of our favorite underappreciated bands, the 2 Skinnee J's decided back in April to reunite for initially, 1 night in NYC. Since I had a ton of Hilton Honor's points saved up, I bought tickets and Amber and I planned on driving up to see them. Fast forward to June, and they added dates in Raleigh, Washington D.C., and Norfolk, VA. We still planned on seeing them in NYC, but Walter went to see them in Raleigh as well. (Thanks for driving that night, Hal!)
While in NYC, we walked all over the place and had a great time. Here are a few pictures from our trip.

The Brooklyn Bridge was a block away from our hotel.
Chinatown views...
Little Italy where we ate dinner on Sat. night.

Amber and Walter waiting on our food.
We also saw Time's Square, and a good portion of Central Park, including
Walter walking up to 73rd and Central Park West to see the Dakota where John
Lennon was shot back in 1980.

"Strawberry Fields forever"
Off to the Fillmore!
We caught sight of Eddie Eyeball and Lance Rockworthy before the show
There were 2 opening acts. The Peculiar Pretzelmen, and "Tragedy: an all
metal tribute to the Bee Gees" . We couldn't get into the first band's
music too much, but Tragedy was really good. (no kidding)
We drove in excess of 23 hours over 3 days, it was worth it!
On to the show pictures
