Yes, Yes, Y'all! It's been a while since I've updated the site. Here are some Summertime Pictures Starting with some down at Maw Maw Brown's house on Badin Lake. We didn't take a lot of pictures at the lake, sorry.
We had a cookout (and even with Walter cooking on a grill, no rain during the cookout)
We took Maw Maw's boat out on the lake for a little ride. A good time was had by all!
We also took a picnic out to
Daniel Boone Cave State park. This was "organized" by some of our new
friends in the Triad Miatas club. We were supposed to have a nice drive
back on some twisty roads, but that didn't happen, as we got a little bit of
rain...
(and NO I wasn't grilling anything!)
After eating our lunches, Trey and I took a walk down to the cave to see where Daniel Boone hid with his family along the Yadkin River.
We met a very pretty cave cat down there! And of course, Trey wanted to walk all the way up into the cave.
Then, the rain started... It started out falling straight down, then it started blowing sideways. We all ended up huddled under the center of the shelter.
After about 40 minutes of extremely hard rain, it stopped, and we all went home. All in all, a good time was had even if we got totally rained on.
